Free — bring your own box

The same stack our pods run. Free, on hardware you already own.

An old laptop. A NUC gathering dust. Any Ubuntu machine. One command installs the full Infinixism stack — private photos, files, passwords, media, and more — running on your LAN, under your roof, at no cost.

No trial, no feature wall on your own hardware. We sell ready-made pods and optional services like remote access — the software you run at home is yours.

What your box needs

OS
Ubuntu 22.04 or 24.04 (a fresh install is easiest)
Memory
8 GB RAM minimum — 16 GB+ recommended
Storage
128 GB free minimum — your photo library sets the real number
Network
Wired Ethernet to your router (Wi-Fi works, wired is happier)

Three steps

  1. 1

    Create a free account

Register and verify your email. No card, no purchase — the account exists so your box can be claimed by you and only you.

  2. 2

    Generate an activation code

In your dashboard, pick a system username and generate a one-time activation passphrase (it looks like potato-banana-456).

  3. 3

Run one command on your box

On the Ubuntu machine, open a terminal and paste the command below. Enter your passphrase when asked. The installer does the rest — Docker, every app, your accounts.

The command (run on your Ubuntu box)
curl -fsSL https://go.infinixism.com/install.sh -o install.sh && sudo bash install.sh

The installer asks for your activation passphrase, then sets up everything unattended. On a typical machine it takes 15–30 minutes.
